Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands and the capital of the prefecture. The city of Rhodes is situated at the very most northern tip of the island and in the heart of the city sits the Medieval Old Town.
The island finds itself at the crossroads of the two big marine lanes of the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea, and off the coastlines of the Middle East, Cyprus and Egypt. Rhodes has been home to a variety of different cultures, all which have left their marks on the island.
This strategic position brought wealth to the island and rendered the city of Rhodes as one of the most distinguished cities of ancient Greece. The Rodians built the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
The island enjoys a mild climate and is a great place to visit all year round. Rhodes has everything including, spotless beaches and picturesque villages "lost" in the forests. There is no reason why any visitor would not be impressed by the beauty of this island. The climate and safety that Rhodes has to offer is the perfect recipe, making Rhodes a destination that is considered a first choice for investments of all kinds, especially real estate.
The island has all amenities, a regional hospital, and private clinics and presents no environmental problems. The fact that most of the services in the public sector are in immediate contact with Athens ensures that investments are made and developed on the island. More so almost all the financial institutions allocate subsidiary companies to oversee a large degree of all transactions which help each vision become a reality at an early stage.
